Kara Jackson is the Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Ovation Academy for the Performing Arts. Based in Chicago, Kara is a recent graduate of Emerson College in Boston, MA where she received her Master of Arts in Theatre Education and Applied Theatre. Kara is an actor, director, and playwright, and she is particularly passionate about using theatre for social change, and amplifying the stories of marginalized communities.
